Faculty — did you know that you can bring your students to either the Main Campus Library, or the North Hudson Library for a bibliographic instruction session?
HCCC librarians will work with you to show your classes resources that will be useful for research papers, evaluating sources, citations, and more. To schedule an instruction session, please click here, or find the Library Instruction link under the “Services and Policies” tab at the top. Alternatively, you can call either library via phone (contact numbers are on the right hand side of this page) and ask to schedule a lesson.
What did you read this Summer? Here’s a guide to books read by Library staff members over the Summer. When you stop by the Library, be sure to take our Quick (3 questions!) Survey. We want to hear from you! Thanks.
Librarian Cliff Brooks, center, participated in the panel discussion entitled “The Excitement of the Intellectual Endeavor” at Convocation. Librarians Cynthia Coulter, John DeLooper, and Carol Van Houten, with assistance from Akim John-Lewis, presented a workshop entitled “New Developments in Electronic Resources at the Library” at College Service Day. Library staff members attended many of the workshops, and Sarah Davis noted that the Theater Arts presentation was very informative. Librarian Jose Romero attended the presentation on the new Environmental Studies program, and pointed out that the Library recently created a Research Guide online for Environmental Studies.
